Dumbo Octopus

This Dumbo Octopus painting was done over a 4 month span. Done in sharpie and water color paint. I got pebble like texture using my brush and if zoomed in you can see the detail of hatching and cross hatching done in sharpie. Why am I so obsessed with the ocean and fascinated by what dwells in it. Well the ocean is so vast and mysterious. There is alot we don't know and will never uncover about the ocean and it's inhabitants. Dumbo Octopuses were only discovered some years back and I can't help but keeping falling in love with them. They are so squishy and loveable looking with those big eyes.

Sea Snail

One day my professor joked " All you do is Jellyfish". So it got me to thinking " I need to start stepping out of my comfort zone and exploring other sea life". Later I learned how valuable having your own references for your own artwork was also. I now have a collection of photo books, chapter books on the ocean and ocean conservation. Alot of my work focuses not only on sea life but raises awareness for the threats that face the ocean. This Project titled " Sea Snail" is a Nudibranch done in water color paint and water color marker.

Dragonair

I will be posting here daily art I have done or am in the process of doing. This is a mix media bookmark of a Dragonair which is a Pokemon. It is done on water color paper, marker, with black pen for the outline, water color paint, oil pastel, colored pencil, and blue glitter glue.
